SUMMER SCHOLARSHIPS
Blogging
If you are awarded a blogging scholarship you are expected to write blogs that are
300 words or more on a daily basis. Generally, you should be writing about your experiences,
newly gained knowledge, thoughts from our excursions, and anything you feel is important.
The emphasis of the blogging topics should be on feedback, how it pertained to you,
and why this information is important for the future change. Southern Scholars wants
you to think outside the box and be creative. Write beyond the facts and think deeply
about the topics we address in the Honors Institute. The goal of this scholarship
is to provide students with an opportunity to share their experience with future participants
and receive $50 towards their registration fee. While pictures are not mandatory,
you can attach pictures to your post. Blogs must be submitted to scholars@southern.edu
to be posted on our website, or you can create a WordPress blog post to be featured
on our website. Prior blogging experience is a plus but not required.
