ACCOMMODATIONS AND DIRECTIONS
The excavation project will be housed at Kibbutz Sde Yoav. Sde Yoav, founded in 1956, is a kibbutz southeast of Tel Aviv. The students and staff will stay in the various
suites on the kibbutz grounds. These suites will be within a short walking distance
to the cafeteria, lecture hall, and labs where all the lectures and processing of
finds will take place. Kibbutz Sde Yoav is located relatively close to everything in east-central Israel, one hour, 10 minutes
from Tel Aviv; 50 minutes from Ben Gurion Airport; one hour, 15 minutes from Jerusalem;
and 25 minutes from Tel Lachish. All guest rooms have four beds, private bath, and
air conditioning. There is wireless availability for all guests. There are also a
mini supermarket and a swimming pool.
