A portfolio is a sample of your work in printed/digital form for others to see at a glance. It should be well thought out and organized for the benefit of your viewers. Make sure you include your best work, have copies of printed pieces, never give away your only original copy of anything, and NEVER give out your personal portfolio—always make a presentation portfolio to leave with them. In most instances you should dress conservatively for the interview. There are many books in the library here at Southern on this topic as well as ebooks that are available for your convenience. Using good judgement on what is appropriate vs. what I want to wear is so important, and being adaptable is key.
