Stephanie Guster is excited to be teaching at Southern! Her undergraduate education was at Andrews University where she majored in Psychology with double minors in Business Administration and Spanish. After completing undergraduate degree requirements, Professor Guster moved to Argentina to study Spanish through the ACA (Adventist Colleges Abroad) program. While overseas, she was awarded a graduate fellowship to The Ohio State University where she completed her MSW. Her emphasis was School Social Work.

After graduating from The Ohio State University, Stephanie Guster began working in the area of hospice and bereavement, providing school-based bereavement groups in public schools. Ultimately, she knew her heart’s desire was to work in the school system. She obtained a position as a school social worker and spent more than a decade working in public education in Ohio, Georgia and Tennessee. 

Stephanie Guster is married to J. M. Guster III, who is an attorney in Chattanooga. They are the joyful parents of J. L. Guster. While she has many, many hobbies, a couple of her favorites include:  vegan cooking, vegan baking, singing, sports, traveling, photography, crochet and writing.
