Part of what makes life on Southern's campus unique is the Christ-centered atmosphere. Residence hall worships provide students with the opportunity to strengthen and encourage each other through Christian fellowship.

Part of Southern Adventist University's commitment to providing a safe and studious atmosphere is making sure that students are present in the residents halls at a reasonable hour. The following summarizes the residence hall curfews based on student standing.

Sometimes stuff happens. The residence halls have a curfew grace period that allows students to enter after curfew with no consequences. The following summarizes the grace periods based on student standing.

• Minor Violations
Entering the residence hall after the grace period—but less than 60 minutes after
curfew—is a minor violation. Other minor violations include illegible sign-ins and
requesting overnight leaves after Friday. The culmination of four minor violations
is considered one major violation.
• Major Violations
Entering the residence hall 60 minutes past curfew, being unaccounted for at night
check, and signing out of the residence hall without permission are major violations.
