The School of Education, Psychology, and Counseling is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), caepnet.org (Washington, D.C. 20036, telephone number 202.223.0077), for initial educator preparation. The University is approved by the Tennessee State Board of Education for the preparation of secondary and elementary teachers.
