Senior Capstone
Senior English majors are required to take ENGL 490 Senior Capstone, a guided review aimed at preparing them for the Major Field Examination, Literature in English, from Educational Testing Service. The course also requires a portfolio of their college writing and an oral review.

Information for Composition Students
Student Guide
Students taking College Composition 101 or 102 should keep the Student Guide with them during every Composition class period. The guide explains the purpose, structure, and expectations of Southern's College Composition classes.
Grammar Online Tutorial
Students wanting to review grammar, punctuation, style, and the mechanics of writing for personal study or for the Composition 101 Grammar Contract (required by some professors) should follow the Harbrace Online Tutorial instructions.
