
Advanced Level
Advanced-Level Placement for MSW
Students who have earned a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree accredited by the
Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), or who have completed the Foundation Level,
may progress into this phase of the program. This stage emphasizes specialized, practice-focused
learning that strengthens clinical and administrative skills, deepens professional
identity, and prepares students for leadership in complex social work settings through
the integration of theory and practice.
Admission Requirements
A BSW degree from a CSWE-accredited college or university, or proof of successful completion of the foundation year of a CSWE-accredited MSW program
Provide an official transcript from college or university
A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00. Applicants with a lower GPA may be considered for provisional admission
Two professional recommendations from college professors, work supervisors, or field instructors
Submit a professional statement describing the applicant’s motivation for pursuing graduate study in social work. Statement guidelines will be provided
Submit an updated professional résumé

Part-Time
The part-time advanced-level placement option is ideal for students ready to deepen their practice while maintaining flexibility. Through specialized coursework and advanced field experience, students strengthen clinical, leadership, and advocacy skills at a manageable pace while balancing professional and personal commitments.
