MSW Foundation

MSW Foundation

The foundation level is the first phase of the MSW for students who don’t already have a CSWE-accredited BSW or whose social work background doesn’t meet advanced standing criteria. It’s designed to build the core knowledge and generalist social work practice skills that every professional social worker needs before moving into more specialized or advanced work.

At the foundation level, students focus on generalist social work practice, which means you’re introduced to the values, theories, and skills that prepare you to work ethically and effectively across multiple populations and settings.
