EMAIL TRANSITION

Full Explanation

Beginning in May, non-current* email accounts will transition to Microsoft Exchange Online platform. Exchange online product allows users a larger mailbox capacity of 50GB. Your email address will remain the same and no email messages will be deleted. The migration will take place May through July of 2019. Users will still be able to check email using  Webmail. Because exchange online platform is hosted in the cloud, users may be required to remove and re-add the account to their mobile device or email client. Although no major disruptions are anticipated, users may experience a brief period where they are unable to access their account. If you experience prolonged difficulties during this time, please email it@southern.edu or give a call to 423-236-2112.
