Thank You for Helping Students Like Alexsandra

"I always knew that I wanted to come to Southern in the back of my mind," said Alexsandra, a currentnursing major.

Scholarships and gifts have carried her all through high school and college. Alexsandra has already reciprocated the same spirit of giving that she has seen in her mother, Doreen (featured in QuickNotes, Sept. '09) and others as she has directed a portion of her school loans toward her younger brother's academy tuition expenses.

In the future, Alexsandra hopes to have the opportunity to travel to and apply her nursing skills in a place like Egypt, and to someday become a stay-at-home mom.

This story was made possible by the Appalachian Scholarship for Appalachian Nursing Students.

Quick Notes comes from Southern Adventist University Advancement, edited by Brian Gonzalez and Andrea Taylor. Brian is a senior, majoring in graphic design and vocal performance, and Andrea is a sophomore, majoring in mass communications.
