Exercise Classes

Group exercise classes are open to students, employees, and those with a current Hulsey Wellness Center membership for no extra charge. The schedule may change at any time.

CLASSES (Updated 8/24/20)

Please review the Updated Group Exercise Guidelines

  • Please wash hands or use sanitizer before joining the class
  • A face covering is required unless heavy cardio is involved and able to maintain 10 feet physical distancing.  If the class is held outside a face covering may be removed if over 6 feet physical distancing can be maintained
  • Please follow the fitness floor dress code guidelines
  • Bring your own water bottle
  • Classes are first come first serve and will be smaller in size if held in the aerobic room
  • Please wipe down equipment used before and after each class using the available wipes

Flexibility Class

Time: 7 - 7:30 a.m. 
Days: Mondays & Wednesdays
Instructor: Nathalia
Meets: HWC Aerobics Room
Description: Are you feeling tight all the time or want to work on your flexibility? Come to this short recovery class to help rejuvenate your body so you can get even bigger gains next time you hit the gym. All flexibility levels welcomed. 
PLEASE NOTE: The class size limit is 10 due to physical distancing requirements in the aerobic room and is first come first serve.

Morning Sunrise Mobility Class

Time: 7 - 7:30 or 7:45 a.m. 
Days: Tuesday and Thursday

Instructor: Alex
Meets: Outside by the track or Iles Gym if rain
Description: Class will focus on entry-level mobility and stretching type moves. Meets twice a week Tuesday and Thursday mornings outside if weather permits and once it gets colder we will move the class inside of Iles for the rest of the semester. The class will last about 30-45 mins. Equipment needed will be a mat or towel to lay on. Equipment will be provided when class is held inside.

Cycling Class

Time: 6 - 7 p.m.
Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Instructor: Monica
Meets: HWC Aerobics Room
Description: Come enjoy some electro/latin beats while you participate in this cycling class.  This class will consist of a warm-up, spin section of 20 minutes, water break, another spin section of 15-20 minutes, and then a cool-down.  Easy to moderate in difficulty.

Cardio Beat

Time: 7 - 8 p.m. 
Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Instructor: Caitrin
Meets: HWC Aerobics Room
Description: A fusion of Latin and International music / themes that create dynamic and exciting exercise. The workout is available to all, and fun and easy to do. The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

Stretch and Strengthen

Time: 7 - 8 p.m. 
Days: Wednesdays

Meets: HWC Aerobics Room
Description: This class focuses on improving flexibility and muscle strength and tone while promoting relaxation and stress relief.

HIIT Training Class

Time: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Description: HIIT is an abbreviation for high intensity interval training, which is what we will be doing in HIIT Training Class.  Whether you are a beginner or more advanced with your fitness, this class has benefits that work towards you.  This class can be taken at different paces depending on what you are comfortable with and works best with your current abilities.  This class includes tabatas, HIIT, as well as calisthenics intervals..
